The distribution, replacement and training activities of the New Generation National Marker Control Devices to fuel stations all over the country have been successfully completed. In recognition of this achievement, TÜBİTAK BİLGEM UEKAE presented certificates of achievement to the project staff at a ceremony organized by TÜBİTAK BİLGEM UEKAE.

The National Marker Control Devices and Inspection System developed and produced by TÜBİTAK BİLGEM aims to prevent the distribution of fuel obtained through unregistered production and smuggling, to ensure the highest possible level of control of the fuel market and to increase tax revenues. Since 2007, these devices have been used by units of the Police, Gendarmerie, Coast Guard, Undersecretariat of Customs, Ministry of Industry and Technology to detect smuggled fuel during inspections at refineries, fuel stations, transportation tankers and storage areas.
